About:
My favorite part of being a Mortgage Assistant is helping other brokers run their businesses as efficiently as possible.
My biggest strengths are attention to detail, strong communication, and speed. We all know time kills all deals, so the faster and smoother we can move a file from a new application to completion, the better everyone's life becomes.
I am highly familiar with a diverse range of mortgage products. On the A-lending side, I work mainly through Scotiabank, TD, First National, and several credit unions. For B-lending, my experience is primarily with Home Trust and Haventree, and for private lending, I work mainly through Shelter Lending.
Experience:
Experience spanning origination, underwriting, and compliance. Underwrote, and funded $100 million across 200 units at 37 lenders in 8 provinces as BRX Deal Desk Underwriter. Previously worked in junior underwriting at First National Financial supporting residential mortgage files in a high-volume national lending environment. Also hold experience in mortgage-adjacent financial services through TD Bank and Canada Life including needs-based selling, KYC documentation, and financial planning conversations.
Total mortgage-related experience spans roughly 2020-2026 across brokering, underwriting, and compliance.
