About:
Every client has a unique story, and every mortgage represents a personal goal or dream. My favorite part of working in mortgages is helping clients reach those milestones as efficiently as possible. On a practical level, I insist on keeping files organized and on schedule, proactively identifying and addressing potential hurdles long before they impact approval or funding.
Beyond my drive for efficiency, my greatest strength is curiosity. It allows me to step into different perspectives—whether looking through the eyes of a client, an underwriter, a realtor, or my own team—to refine processes and structure the right solutions. This curious approach helps me discover the full picture, ensuring we collect the right documents from day one.
My foundation built in A-lending gave me extensive experience with refinances, switches, conventional and high-ratio purchases (including rentals), and new build purchases, alongside solid exposure to Business for Self and New to Canada files. Since transitioning to the broker side, I have expanded into monoline, B-side, and Alt-lender programs. I also bring foundational knowledge in draw mortgages and hold a commercial lending certification through BRX to further support complex scenarios.
Experience:
I started my career as the sole conveyancer for a real estate lawyer where I managed all residential transactions from start to finish. I later spent 3 years as a mobile mortgage specialist at CIBC. I also worked as an assistant to a commercial real estate team and in financial operations at an investment firm. These experiences have given me a very strong foundation in compliance, real estate transactions, document management, customer care and lending criteria.
In more recent years I was the first employee and Chief of Staff for a rapid growth tech based education startup and went on to spearheaded new e-commerce business channel for a retail distributor.
I currently have my mortgage and life insurance licenses in Alberta and am excited to apply my skills and years of experience to growing with a team on the broker side of the business.
