We're seeking a Director of Operations who can run the day-to-day business, keep projects on track, and build the systems that allow our people to thrive. This role requires someone to lead daily operations and HR processes, streamline workflows, and leverage technology to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Run Daily Ops: Lead and manage the rhythm of the business—1:1 staff meetings, team check-ins, and ensuring projects are prioritized and moving forward on schedule. 

  • HR & People Leadership: Oversee HR processes, from recruiting and onboarding to performance management and culture initiatives. 

  • Operational Execution: Streamline workflows, solve bottlenecks, and ensure the business runs smoothly and efficiently. 

  • Technology & Systems: Leverage tech platforms and tools to increase efficiency, productivity, and accountability across the company. 

  • Mortgage Ops Expertise: Mortgage knowledge is an asset—understanding the needs of a mortgage agent, flow of deals, compliance, and partner relationships helps you lead more effectively.

Qualifications
  • Operations Leadership: 5+ years in operations, ideally in financial services, professional services, or fast-growing companies. 

  • Management Experience: Proven ability to lead teams, manage direct reports, and drive accountability. Experience with operating systems or efficiency tools such as Kaizen, Traction, Six Sigma considered an asset.

  • HR Knowledge: Hands-on experience with HR processes and people management. 

  • Tech Savvy: Strong command of business systems, CRMs, and productivity tools—you’re always looking for smarter ways to work. 

  • Industry Knowledge: Mortgage or financial services experience is an asset. 

Job Details
  • Permanent, Full Time Position

  • Compensation:

    • Starting at $100,000 base salary based on experience

    • Comprehensive Health & Dental Benefits Package; premiums 100% paid by BRX Mortgage

    • 3 weeks (15 days) paid vacation

    • Eligible for the Employee Stock Option Plan

  • Location:

    • Must be eligible to work in Canada

    • Fully Virtual

    • Laptop will be provided

    • Must have sufficient internet access for this position

  • Schedule:

    • Monday – Friday; 8 Hour shifts

    • Specific hours agreed upon with successful candidate

    • No Statutory holidays; no weekends

  • Start Date: Flexible
